Recently, Nuctech officially passed the Level 5 assessment and certification of the Software Process Capability Maturity Model (GB/T 45989-2025, abbreviated as CSMM), and was awarded the highest-level certificate under this national standard. Previously, in May 2026, Nuctech passed the CMMI-DEV V3.0 Maturity Level 5 re-appraisal. With this, Nuctech has become one of the few organizations in the industry to simultaneously hold the highest-level certifications in software capability maturity under both international and domestic standards.
CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is a widely adopted software process capability assessment standard globally, with Level 5 being its highest level. Nuctech first passed CMMI Level 5 certification as early as 2020. This re-appraisal was a comprehensive verification and upgrade of its R&D management system against the latest requirements of the CMMI-DEV V3.0 model. Notably, during the preparation for this re-appraisal, the R&D team deeply embedded practices such as AI-assisted programming tools and secure software development into the software development process, further enhancing the automation level of R&D processes and project delivery efficiency.
CSMM is a national standard for software process capability assessment independently formulated by China. It was led by the China Electronics Standardization Institute and jointly developed by multiple industry, academic, research, and user organizations. It was released in August 2025 and officially implemented on February 1, 2026, and is known in the industry as the "Chinese version of CMMI." The model is structured around four capability domains—strategy and governance, development and delivery, management and support, and organizational assurance—and sets out 21 capability sub-domains and 197 capability requirements. It serves as an important assessment basis supporting national data security, supply chain security, and information technology application innovation (ITAI) industry management requirements. Level 5, as the highest level of the model, requires enterprises to possess mature and stable quantitative management capabilities as well as sustained technological and management innovation achievements.
Facing the new requirements of the ITAI strategy and industrial digital transformation, Nuctech, building on its existing high-maturity processes, deeply integrated the CSMM system requirements, embedded quantitative management and governance mechanisms across the entire software development chain, and established measurable, traceable, and predictable process capabilities in all stages including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and operations and maintenance.
The dual certifications of CMMI Level 5 and CSMM Level 5 demonstrate that Nuctech's R&D management system can both pass the scrutiny of international standards and meet the highest requirements of China's independent national standards. For customers, this means more stable delivery quality, more controllable project cycles, and more reliable guarantees in terms of independent controllability and supply chain security.
Software capability is an important foundation for the intelligence level of security inspection equipment. Taking the "dual Level 5" certification as a new starting point, Nuctech will continue to deepen its "international benchmarking + local compliance" software R&D system, transform high-maturity process capabilities into a deterministic engine for product innovation, and create safer, more reliable, and more competitive security inspection solutions for global customers.
