The report announced that the new Huanggang Port, after seven years of construction, would officially begin operation at 6:30 a.m. on October 12. The port implements an innovative customs clearance model featuring "two inspections at one location" and "cooperative inspection, single release." As the world's largest single-building land port, the new Huanggang Port has a total floor area of 689,700 square meters and is positioned as an important 24-hour passenger land port between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The port features 134 cooperative inspection self-service channels and 68 traditional manual counters, along with 28 "five-in-one" cooperative vehicle inspection channels. Overall passenger clearance time has been reduced from about 30 minutes to about 5 minutes, with a designed daily clearance capacity of 200,000 passengers, reaching a peak of 300,000 per day after the opening of the MTR Northern Link spur line. Vehicle clearance time has been compressed to about 2 minutes.

The port is a landmark project for Shenzhen-Hong Kong integration and connectivity within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and will powerfully promote personnel exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between the two places.
