Nuctech Hosts Mid-Autumn Festival Event “Full Moon, Skilled Hands: Lantern Making”

As the Mid-Autumn Festival, a time for family reunion, approached, Nuctech organized a Mid-Autumn Festival-themed event, “Full Moon, Skilled Hands: Lantern Making.” More than 70 people gathered together to welcome the festival of reunion by making jade rabbit lanterns with their own hands.

At the beginning of the event, participants signed in and received lantern-making kits. Three different jade rabbit lantern designs were prepared for the event, each with its own style and creative touches, adding to everyone’s anticipation before the crafting began. Everyone then sat around the tables and started making their lanterns with great interest. Assembling, fitting, threading, and wiring—from scattered parts to a lantern gradually taking shape—every step was completed with care and attention. Colleagues exchanged tips and helped each other adjust the parts. Laughter and cheerful voices filled the venue, and the rapport they usually share at work grew even warmer through this joint effort.

Soon, cute jade rabbit lanterns took shape one after another. When the string lights were switched on, the warm yellow glow slowly diffused through the lantern panels, reflecting the warmth and joy of the festival. The handmade lanterns not only carried the cultural charm of the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, but also embodied the craftsmanship and warmth unique to Nuctech people.

A paper lantern’s silhouette carries hopes for reunion; a small light bears beautiful wishes. The little jade rabbit lanterns illuminated not only the tables, but also everyone’s longing for reunion, their love for life, and the friendship of colleagues moving forward together.
