The port officially opened on October 12, 2026, continuing the 24-hour customs clearance model and innovatively implementing the "cooperative inspection, single release" clearance model. It is committed to building a national demonstration benchmark for smart ports and injecting new momentum into cross-border connectivity in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The entire set of inspection equipment is deeply integrated with the port's comprehensive command platform and intelligent supervision system, strongly supporting the implementation of the innovative Shenzhen-Hong Kong "cooperative inspection, single release" mechanism. Passenger clearance time has been reduced from approximately 30 minutes to under 5 minutes, and the port can accommodate a daily throughput of 200,000 passengers and a peak of 300,000 passengers. While strengthening the supervision defense line, it has also optimized the passenger clearance experience and received positive feedback from inbound and outbound travelers.
