Nuctech at ICAO Security Week 2024

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) successfully hosted the ICAO Security Week 2024 in Muscat, Oman, attracting over 600 representatives from civil aviation authorities, industry associations, airlines, airports, research institutes, and equipment manufacturers of 78 countries and regions. This year’s event focused on the theme of "Sustainable Future of Aviation Through Security", with in-depth discussions on aviation screening and security, and emerging threats to aviation cybersecurity.

Nuctech was invited to the conference in recognition of its prominent role as a key manufacturer in the industry. The company showcased the innovative technologies and solutions in aviation security, utilizing graphic designs, models, videos, and naked-eye 3D displays. Nuctech’s exhibit featured a range of advanced products, including Kylin Ti CT baggage and parcel inspection system, Key-Line passenger smart checkpoint, WooKong H static CT baggage/parcel inspection system, and CTitan Consolidated Air Cargo CT inspection system, among others.

Daisy Dai, Vice President of Nuctech’s Smart Inspection Division, was invited to deliver a speech. She presented the companys innovation-driven solutions and implementation cases covering all kinds of scenarios, such as passenger, baggage, and parcel inspection. Her presentation also focused on how AI algorithms and integrated management platforms are transforming aviation security with innovations, enabling a highly efficient and high-quality future for civil aviation inspection.

At the closing ceremony, a senior leader from the Civil Aviation Authority of Oman presented Nuctech with a commemorative plaque in recognition of its contributions to the industry. The plaque was accepted by Meng Qiang, General Manager of Nuctech’s West Asia Regional Center.

Throughout the conference, representatives from various civil aviation authorities and organizations—including those from China, Oman, Nigeria, Mali, Italy, Kenya, Tanzania, Vietnam, Thailand, Dominica, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Brazil, and Morocco—visited Nuctech’s booth to learn about the latest products, technologies and solutions, and explore potential future collaborations.
