The 2024 WCO Technology Conference & Exhibition took place from November 12 to 14 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, under the theme “Digital Frontiers: Customs Embracing Innovation with Traditional and New Partners”. The event attracted nearly 1,300 participants from 117 countries and regions worldwide. Over the course of the three-day conference, discussions centered on key topics such as fostering collaboration in customs innovation, leveraging new technologies to facilitate seamless trade, technological advancements in NII detection, and digital solutions for enhancing global trade facilitation.

At the 2024 WCO Technology Conference, a key platform for showcasing global customs innovations, Nuctech officially unveiled NucMind 1.0—its AI-driven, multi-modal, large-model solution—on November 14 during the Conference’s Artificial Intelligence Day. In his presentation, titled “AI Empowerment: Reshaping the Future of Customs Surveillance”, the business representative from Nuctech’s Brazilian branch provided an in-depth introduction to the solution. Nuctech’s AI technology assists customs in areas such as automatic threat detection, customs risk analysis, tax code classification analysis, and enterprise risk profiling. With NucMind 1.0, customs authorities are better equipped to drive digital and intelligent transformation, and promote trade security and facilitation.

In line with the theme of the Conference, in the form of device model demonstration, promotional videos and print advertisements, we focused on introducing our advanced technologies and system integration solutions in the field of customs, including high-energy cargo/vehicle inspection technology, stationary CT technology, trace detection technology, handheld backscatter technology, ViCenter, ViBorder, ViTracking, and AI solutions.

During the Conference, representatives from China, Portugal, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Panama, Oman, Tanzania, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Qatar, Mexico and other countries and regions visited Nuctech’s booth to learn more about our products and integrated solutions, engaging in productive discussions and exchanges.
