Deputy Director General of IAEA Visited and Highly Praised Nuctech for the Innovative Practices
On the morning of October 14, 2024, Mr. Massimo Aparo, Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), visited the headquarters of Nuctech at the invitation of the State Nuclear Security Technology Center. He received a warm welcome from Nuctech’s reception team for this visit, led by Chief Engineer Zhang Li.
At the New Vision showroom of Tongfang Building, the reception team warmly welcomed Mr. Massimo Aparo and his team, and briefly introduced to them the development history and advanced solutions of Nuctech. During the tour at the showroom, the reception team also showcased the company’s innovations and successful explorations in applying civil nuclear technology to security inspection, battery manufacturing and ore sorting, highlighting 7 radiation detection products including the backpack radiation detector.
In the seminar that followed, Chief Engineer Zhang Li highlighted the business development of Nuctech in recent years. Afterwards, the two sides engaged in an in-depth discussion and exchange around product technology, application trends and project requests. During his visit, Mr. Massimo Aparo noted that he was deeply impressed by Nuctech’s bold innovations and practices in applying nuclear technology to security inspection and other fields, and encouraged Nuctech to further the cooperation with IAEA and engage in the upcoming projects led by the organization.
Nuctech views this exchange as an opportunity to enhance communication and cooperation with IAEA in nuclear technology applications, and will work to ensure that nuclear technology can better serve the well-being of humanity.
