Recently, the IEC TC45 (International Electrotechnical Commission Technical Committee 45 on Nuclear Instrumentation) International Technical Exchange Meeting was successfully held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. As the most influential international standardization platform in the field of nuclear instrumentation, the event brought together technical officials and senior technical experts from countries including Germany, France, Italy, the United States, and Switzerland, as well as registered Chinese experts of IEC/TC45. They gathered to discuss cutting-edge technologies and standardization development pathways in the nuclear instrumentation sector.
Nuctech’s Chief Scientist Chen Zhiqiang led a professional technical team to the meeting, engaging in extensive and in-depth discussions with international experts on core topics such as the latest trends in nuclear instrumentation technology, the ongoing process of international standard formulation and revision, future technical cooperation, and standard harmonization. During the meeting, Nuctech’s IEC registered experts, including Zhang Hong, Director of the Technology and Quality Management Center; Liu Yaohong, Executive Deputy Director of the Joint Research Institute; Zhou Hejun, General Manager of the Ore Sorting Division; and Guo Junwei, Assistant General Manager of the High Energy Product Division, reported on the progress of their respective international standard projects. With profound technical expertise and forward-looking industry vision, they contributed valuable “Nuctech wisdom” to the improvement and implementation of relevant international standards.
The Nuctech team delivered two insightful technical presentations, which sparked extensive interest and lively discussion among attending experts. Tan Yang from the Robotics Division shared a presentation on “Applications of Intelligent Robots in the Nuclear Field and Their Standardization Roadmap,” systematically illustrating typical application scenarios, technical challenges, and standardization pathways for intelligent robots in the nuclear industry, showcasing Nuctech’s innovative R&D exploration and practical achievements in nuclear-sector intelligent equipment. Li Guangqin from the High Energy Product Division presented a report on “Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) Technology,” detailing Nuctech’s technical expertise and practical applications in the field of trace detection, fully demonstrating Nuctech’s technological strength and effectively promoting technical dialogue with international peers.
Participation in the IEC TC45 International Technical Exchange Meeting represents a pragmatic step in Nuctech’s international standardization strategy. It not only fully demonstrates Nuctech’s independent innovation capabilities and technological advantages in nuclear instrumentation and security inspection, but also highlights the company’s commitment to deeply engaging in global governance and leading industrial upgrading through high standards.
