Nuctech’s Stationary CT Security Inspection System Featured at the Inaugural Super Terminal Expo 2024 of Asia
From November 5 to 7, the inaugural Super Terminal Expo 2024 of Asia was successfully held at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. This pioneering design, construction and operations event, showcasing the next wave of innovation in passenger and cargo terminal, brought together nearly 100 exhibitors and nearly 2,000 industry professionals.
During the Expo, Mr. Chen Zhiqiang, Chairman of Nuctech, was invited for an interview with the organizer. In the interview, he discussed how Nuctech has been dedicated to addressing national and industry needs since its inception, with a strong commitment to driving industry advancement through innovation. He highlighted Nuctech’s development of the world’s first stationary CT scanner, powered by the groundbreaking carbon nanotube (CNT) cold cathode distributed X-ray source technology, in response to the evolving demands of the aviation industry. Additionally, he shared insights into the future trends of civil aviation security inspection and the direction of technological innovation within the industry.
The STE Award ceremony, held during the Expo, celebrated global achievements in airport design, technology, operations, and sustainability, highlighting the industry’s capacity to deliver innovative and groundbreaking advancements. Nuctech’s Wookong H CT baggage scanner, which successfully incorporates CNT cold cathode distributed X-ray source technology, was recognized for its exceptional performance. The scanner achieves significantly higher time resolution compared to traditional spiral CTs, reduces noise and vibration, and simplifies the mechanical design of components such as the X-ray source, high-voltage module, and detector. This innovative solution was ultimately selected as the best among many contenders, earning the prestigious “Best Innovation Award”. Chairman Chen Zhiqiang accepted the award on behalf of the company.
During the Expo, Nuctech demonstrated the products of Kylin Ti CT baggage scanner and TR2000DC explosives and narcotics trace detector, the platforms of airport perimeter solutions and CTitan air cargo CT inspection system, model of Wookong H CT baggage scanner, as well as a variety of solutions designed to address key challenges in airport construction and operations. Through live demonstrations and case studies, Nuctech highlighted its R&D capabilities and its advanced level of internationalization.
Nuctech’s booth was visited by leaders and experts from organizations such as the Airport Authority Hong Kong and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, and from airports including Shenzhen Baoan International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport and New Chitose Airport. During their visit, they engaged in in-depth discussions with Nuctech on topics such as equipment performance, project details, and sales performance.
The Expo further consolidated Nuctech’s brand presence in the global market. Leveraging its strengths in independent innovation, Nuctech is committed to supporting the upgrading and development of global terminals and working alongside industry partners to shape a smarter and more efficient future.
