A delegation of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency visits the Miyun Base of Nuctech
On December 1, 2023, at the invitation of the Department of International Cooperation of the China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA), a group of four experts visited the Miyun industry-university-research collaboration base of Nuctech, including the Director of the IAEA’s Department of Technical Cooperation Asia and the Pacific Division, the Director of the IAEA’s Division of Planning, Information and Knowledge Management, the Head of the Department of Nuclear Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and the Director of the Singapore Nuclear Research and Safety Initiative.
At the meeting with the experts, the Nuctech team made an introduction to Nuctech’s history and innovative achievements in detail and highlighted Nuctech’s efforts in the industry-university-research collaboration and the integration with application scenarios. Relevant teams of Nuctech had discussions with the visiting experts on relevant technical issues before they visited Nuctech’s exhibition hall and workshops of mobile inspection systems and accelerators.
The visiting experts said that Nuctech’s technological applications and exploratory efforts through its industry-university-research-application collaboration programs with Tsinghua University were impressive. As a high-quality experience focused on industry-university-research collaboration, this visit will play a positive role in facilitating the IAEA’s work in this regard.
