Nuctech Donated Pandemic Prevention Equipment to Tsinghua University to Support Campus Emergency Control and the Normalization of Pandemic Prevention and Control

On March 30th, a ceremony was held at the Tsinghua Garden to celebrate Nuctech Company Limited's donation of pandemic prevention and control equipment to Tsinghua University. Wang Xiqin, Executive Vice President of Tsinghua University and Li Zhijun, Senior Vice President of Nuctech attended the donation ceremony.
Wang Xiqin, in his speech, firstly expressed his heartfelt thanks to Nuctech for donating the pandemic prevention and control equipment to Tsinghua. He introduced to the guests the process and the overall situation of the university's pandemic prevention and control and expressed his gratitude to the enterprises represented by Nuctech as well as all walks of life for their selfless help to Tsinghua. He looked back at the entire history of Nuctech, from its establishment and development, to its emergence in the international market and its success as an internationally renowned enterprise. He then expressed his appreciation for the alumni's spirit of self-improvement, pioneer and innovation, as well as their unswerving patriotism and their commitment to repay their alma mater. He hoped that Nuctech would continue to strengthen their cooperation with the university's institutions and faculties to seek joint development and make greater contribution to building a modernized socialist country.
Li Zhijun, in his speech, said that the achievements of Nuctech over the past 20 years could not be made without the full support of Tsinghua University's strong scientific research strength. Since the outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020, more than 30 core backbone personnel of Nuctech gave up their Spring Festival holiday. They worked day and night, and eventually completed the development and application testing of the technical prototype in just over 20 days and launched the infrared temperature screening system with technical specifications exceeding those of all the similar products at home and abroad. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, Nuctech has actively supported the pandemic prevention and control of the university by donating pandemic prevention and control equipment and providing technical support, escorting Tsinghua University to win the “battle against Covid-19” and making a contribution to the safety of teachers and students as much as it can.
At the ceremony, Tsinghua University and Nuctech signed the donation agreement, and Wang Xiqin read out and presented a letter of appreciation to Li Zhijun.
After the outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020, Nuctech has donated 10 sets of self-developed and self-manufactured Feverblock infrared body temperature screening systems to Tsinghua University in May for health monitoring on campus and in the community, and also provided corresponding technical support for the university's emergency prevention and control measures.
In the fall semester of 2020, following the university's pandemic prevention and control plan, Nuctech assisted in the installation of infrared body temperature screening systems in the venues for important events and meetings, such as the Hall of New Tsinghua School, the Auditorium, the back hall of the Main Building, Mengminwei Concert Hall and the Mengminwei Building, continuing to contribute to the normal operation of the school under the context of epidemic prevention and control normalization.
