At invitation, Nuctech participated in the awarding ceremony of the first batch of Cambodia registered effective Chinese patent held in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia on 29th, March, 2018. 10 core patens of Nuctech including the Detectors, Fast Scan, Dual-Energy, Millimeter Wave, X-Ray, and Mobile Container/Vehicle Inspection Systems were registered in Cambodia, and were effective immediately. Chen Wei the Senior Vice President of Nuctech presented at the ceremony and accepted the certificate.
According to the “MOU between SIPO of China and Handcraft Department of the Kingdom of Cambodia on IPR Cooperation”, the Cambodia government recognizes the authorizing result of Chinese patents examination. There would be no need for Nuctech’s Chinese patent to be re-examined in Cambodia, which means these patents would be registered and protected in Cambodia in a fast and convenient way. This would provide substantial support to Nuctech’s patent protection in Cambodia and to the construction and perfection of the patent system.
20 Chinese patents including the ones of Huawei, Zhongxing, and Nuctech were registered this time in Cambodia as the first batch. Shen Changyu the Director General of SIPO of China, the Minister of State, Industry and Handcraft, senior officials of Cambodia, and the Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia attended the ceremony.
Nuctech attaches importance to the overseas patent layout and protection, and has formed a tight and thorough system of overseas patent protection. At the end of 2017, 400+ kinds of technologies of Nuctech were granted 2040+ patents in 40+ countries and regions including U.S, Germany, U.K, and etc.
