NUCTECH Guards the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Meeting and G7 Summit.

On June 8, 2018, the annual G7 summit was held in Charlevoix, Quebec, Canada. On June 9, the 18th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in Qingdao, a beautiful coastal city known as China’s Sailing Capital. The two conferences were held almost simultaneously in the West and East respectively, presenting different political opinions and political climates to the world, and both of them attracted widespread attention from all walks of life across the world.

As one of the top suppliers of security solutions and services in the world, NUCTECH guarded the G7 Summit and the SCO Meeting, making the company the guardian of major events with the highest security level in the world.

As the sole supplier of X-ray security inspection equipment for the G7 Summit, NUCTECH provided nearly 20 sets of security inspection equipment in La Malbaie, the main venue of the G7 Leaders’ Summit, at Canadian Forces Base Bagotville, the landing place of planes of heads of states, and in Quebec City. NUCTECH provided equipment operation training services to over 100 security guards at the Summit.

As the guardian of the SCO Meeting in Qingdao, nearly 400 sets of security inspection equipment provided by NUCTECH were used at more than 30 security checkpoints in 5 areas including Jiaozhou food warehouse, Olympic Sailing Center and Jiaozhou Highway, which helped to ensure the success of the SCO Meeting. The NUCTECH support team consisting of 22 on-site engineers provided on-site real-time response services for the Meeting.

It is worth mentioning that the security inspection equipment of NUCTECH was installed at the Olympic Sailing Center in Qingdao as early as in October 2017, so as to ensure the security during the preparation for the SCO Meeting. In February 2018, the security inspection equipment of NUCTECH began to be installed at other venues of the Meeting.

With rich experience in providing security solutions to major international conferences obtained over the past years, NUCTECH made custom-made security arrangements based on various types of security checkpoints for the SCO Meeting in Qingdao, forming a seamless security protection network. After the IV2000 person-ID verification system which was independently developed by NUCTECH being used at the SCO Meeting, the system was connected to third-party systems such as the public security bureaus to accurately identify the inspected personnel. With the help of this system, many outlaws and drug addicts have been arrested by the police.

As the G7 Summit and SCO Meeting ended, NUCTECH once again provided security services to top international conferences, winning the company the recognition and praise from clients.
