During the press conference held in Motukea, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, the Customs officer of Papua New Guinea stated that they have recently seized a container vehicle carrying 7.5 million smuggling cigarettes which is worth 1.2 million USD with Nuctech’s inspection system.
The officer added that this new scanning technology has highly improved the capability and efficiency of inspection of Papua New Guinea Customs, and they have already seen the return on the investments on modern security inspection devices.
