Chen Zhiqiang the Chairman and President of Nuctech be elected to the 2nd “Ten Thousand Talent Program”

Committed to doing the researches on particle technology, Chen has developed a series of works in terms of the key physical design of radiation imaging system, the acquisition, correction, and rebuild of X Ray imaging data, and the phase contrast imaging and dark field imaging of X Ray. As main participant, he has solved many technical difficulties in the researches of container inspection, high energy industrial CT prototype, and other projects. As project leader, he has directed many key research projects including the researches on special substances inspection, back scattering human body inspection system, millimeter waves imaging detector, and etc. Some of his honors are listed below: The First Prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, Chinese Patent Gold Medal, Outstanding Prize of Beijing Invention Patent Medal, Beijing Science and Technology Award, the 2008 Mao Yisheng Beijing Youth Science and Technology Award, etc. Individually, he was the member of the 2002 Beijing Science & Technology Nova Program, the 2012 Leading Technologist of Beijing, and the 2014 Young and middle-aged leading scientists, engineers and innovators issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The “Ten Thousand Talent Program”(Special National Support Plan to High Level Talent) is a national talents support program overall planned by the Central Coordinating Group for Talent Development and co-implemented by the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Human Resource and Social Security and other departments. The Plan aims at selecting and supporting 10,000 outstanding technologists, leading talents, and young top-notch talents of all domains in 10 years, and nurturing a group of innovative and entrepreneurial talents to provide a solid basis for the building of an innovative country.
