The Logistics Monitoring System of Nuctech start to serve the Thai Customs

The Logistics Monitoring Systems of Nuctech in the Thai Customs are put into use, and the opening ceremony was successfully held in the Laem Chabang Customs, Chonburi Province, Thailand, on Apr, 07, 2016. Several Thai officials including the Finance Minister, the Deputy Finance Minister, the Director of General Administration of Customs, the Director of Laem Chabang Customs Office, the Director of the Customs Technology Center, and other Customs officials attended the ceremony, with more than 30 media representatives including Thai PBS TV, Thai National TV, and the Thai Manager Magazine presented.

The Nuctech initiated system is a tailor-made solution for the Thai Customs, which is aimed at the Customs’ whole-regulating on the supervised vehicles, by applying GPS and conditioning monitoring to the cargos in transit, through the use of integrated monitoring platform and intelligent lock. Wang Weidong the VP of Nuctech attended the ceremony on behalf of Nuctech, and gave a 3D-printed model of the intelligent lock to the Thai Customs.

Mr. Apisak Tanti-vorawong the Finance Minister of Thailand hosted the ceremony and gave a speech. He indicated that the application of the system would facilitate Thai in not only export, but also enhancing the capability of the Customs, and eradicating corruption.

Mr. Kulis Sombatsiri the Director of General Administration of Thai Customs delivered a speech introducing the main functions of the system and its mighty effect on the Thai Customs Clearance. He stressed that the system provided important measures in comparing the information collected in the ports of departure and destination, and it was easy to use. The General Administration of Thai Customs would propel further application of the system, through adjusting the use of information and communication technology, promoting the governmental efficiency, and providing enterprises convenient, in order to keep Thailand abreast with the time of international trade competition.

At last, the ceremony was at last brought to a successful close with a press conference convened by the Director of General Administration of Thai Customs.

  The system has a promising future, and more than 10 Thai ports will start to use the system providing precise de facto basis for the Customs’ law enforcement.
