NUCTECH participated in the 2018 WCO IT Conference and Exhibition

From June 6 to 8, the 2018 World Customs Organization (WCO) IT Conference and Exhibition was held in Lima, Peru. 595 participants from 75 countries attended the conference, among whom 70 people delivered speeches, and more than 30 companies participated in the exhibition.

The theme for this conference, “Building a reliable digital landscape to boost cross-border trade”, called on participants to discuss the role of information technology in supporting Customs, such as contributing to better securing the business environment and boost economic prosperity. Participants shared their experiences and opinions, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud technology applications, and network security. By sharing information on many topics and the latest trends on information technology, the 2018 WCO IT Conference explored the path of promoting cross-border trade by building reliable digital businesses.

Wang Weidong, Senior Vice President of NUCTECH, gave a keynote speech -- New Technologies for Customs at the conference. In his speech, Wang presented NUCTECH’s integrated solutions built on advanced inspection technologies, cross-border sharing and artificial intelligence analysis to address such challenges as evolving threats, mounting pressure for Customs and the need to increase the inspection proportion with the growing global trade. Wang also shared the application cases of NUCTECH’s solutions and intelligent inspection achievements worldwide. The information shared by Wang was well received and the brand of NUCTECH was greatly enhanced.

At the conference, NUCTECH presented its major large and small products for customs to participants through equipment demonstration, videos and pictures. At the same time, based on the clients’ attention focus at the conference, NUCTECH also focused on the presentation of its integrated solutions including the customs supervision & command center system and the customs container logistics surveillance system.

Mr. Kunio Mikuriya, Secretary General of the WCO, Mr. Wang Lingjun, Vice Minister of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), Wu Youyi, Chief Engineer of the GACC, as well as officials from the Peruvian Customs, Columbian Customs, Antigua Customs and other relevant organizations, visited NUCTECH’s booth to learn about its integrated system solutions and related products, and spoke highly of NUCTECH.

The conference and exhibition have deepened the mutual understanding and cooperation between NUCTECH and customs of various countries, and have further strengthened the brand awareness and influence of NUCTECH among customs across the world.
