Nuctech Attends the ICAO Innovation Fair and ICAO’s 41st Assembly

From 24 to 29 September 2022, Nuctech attended in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Innovation Fair and the ICAO’s 41st Assembly at ICAO headquarters in Montréal, Canada. The event was attended, virtually and in person, by more than 2,000 delegates, including officials of aviation regulatory authorities from ICAO member states, professionals from relevant international industry organizations, industry experts and scholars, and representatives of long-established and new innovative companies in the air transport industry. The second day of the Fair was specifically dedicated to aviation security and facilitation topics, including facilitating seamless and contactless travel through the use of an open framework and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI).

 

Dai Zhisheng, Deputy General Manager of Nuctech’s Smart Inspection Division, made an introduction to Nuctech’s progress in AI development during the Skytalks session of the Fair. Meanwhile, Dai also introduced improvements brought about by AI deployed in baggage screening and air cargo inspection for the detection of security threats and operational efficiency enhancement. Nuctech’s sharing session received great attention and positive comments from attendees. In addition, Nuctech’s advanced technologies and solutions in the field of aviation security were displayed through graphic plans and on-site multimedia equipment.

 

The President and the Secretary General of the ICAO Council, the Deputy Director General of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) as well as some leaders of other organizations visited Nuctech’s booth to learn more about Nuctech’s technological innovation in the field of aviation security, spoke highly of Nuctech’s efforts made in civil aviation security inspection and expressed great expectations on the future development of Nuctech. In addition, heads of civil aviation administrations from dozens of countries and regions, such as Tanzania, Zambia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Samoa, visited Nuctech’s booth, had in-depth conversations with Nuctech, and expressed their intent to explore cooperation opportunities.

 

By attending the ICAO Innovation Fair and ICAO’s 41st Assembly, Nuctech showcased its advanced technology solutions for civil aviation security inspection, highlighted its innovation philosophy, conducted face-to-face communication with senior officials of civil aviation authorities of various countries and discussed prospects for cooperation, paving the way for Nuctech’s future business development in the civil aviation sector.
