JINSP Company Limited Contributes to the Drafting of an International Standard for Raman Spectroscopy

Recently, IEC 63085:2021 Radiation Protection Instrumentation - System of Spectral Identification of Liquids in Transparent and Semitransparent Containers (Raman Systems) jointly drafted by experts from China, Germany, Japan, the United States and Russia was officially released and implemented. Wang Hongqiu, General Manager of JINSP Company Limited, participated in the drafting as a technical expert.

This international standard drafting program has been set up since 2016. Through nearly five years of drafting, solicitation of opinions and review, the functions, performance, hardware mechanical stability requirements and test methods of Raman spectroscopy instruments for liquid detection have been specified. The release of this international standard fills the vacancy of IEC international standard in Raman spectroscopy technology for liquid detection, and the standard is intended for the application of Raman spectroscopy in liquid safety, drug solution and other liquid chemical analysis.

JINSP originates from the Tsinghua University Institute of Security Detection Technology jointly established by Nuctech and Tsinghua University, and is a supplier of substance identification instruments centering on spectral detection technology, and its products have been widely used in many fields such as security inspection, food, medicine, narcotics and medical treatment.
