NUCTECH Helped Namibia Customs Uncover Two Cases of Marijuana Smuggling
The Buitepos Customs on the eastern border of Namibia seized two cases of cross-border marijuana smuggling on April 16 and 19 respectively. The total amount of smuggled marijuana was 61.37 kg and 94 kg, involving a total amount of 600 thousand Namibian dollars and 1.9 million Namibian dollars, about 1.4 million yuan.
The vehicles involved wanted to pass through by means of entrainment, but the Namibian Customs discovered the abnormality in the car by the NUCTECH container security inspection system, thus successfully cracking the two cross-border marijuana smuggling cases. Two consecutive cases of marijuana smuggling were extremely rare in Namibia, and according to the description of the person in charge of scanning equipment, the two cases were the larger drug smuggling cases seized by the Namibian Customs. The security devices that seized the two batches of marijuana were the re-locatable container inspection system installed by NUCTECH in 2010.
